Biberach, 4 April 2017 – EQOS Energie Deutschland GmbH appointed Ulrich Schultheiss as the new Division Manager of the Long-Distance Traffic business field in Germany. Schultheiss, who holds a degree in engineering, started his position on 1 April 2017. As part of an executive team with four members, he is responsible for the further expansion and customer-oriented project management of railway technology in Germany.

Most recently, Schultheiss served as head of the regional networks of East and West Brandenburg at DB Netze AG. From 2001 to 2010, he worked for DB AG where he was responsible for expanding the East Brandenburg regional network. Within his various managerial functions, some of his responsibilities included electrification, overhead line maintenance and finally the entire infrastructure of the regional network realisation. ‘We are delighted to have signed an excellent expert for our company with Ulrich Schultheiss’, said Peter Pendt, managing director of EQOS Energie in Germany. ‘With his more than 30 years of experience in long-distance traffic, he completes the business unit within the Railway Technology business field.’
