This means, for example, that large amounts of wind energy have to be transported from the north of Germany to the south of the country. By 2030, 100 per cent of Austria&#8217;s electricity supply is to be covered by renewable energy sources. What does this mean for the existing grids? Electricity flows will increase significantly. There will also be more frequent fluctuations in the flow of electricity. For these reasons, the transmission capacities of old lines are already hitting their limits. EQOS Energie therefore applies its special expertise in energy technology to ensure grid stability and thus a dependable and secure power supply.       <\/p><p>Power fluctuations do not stop at national borders. Transmission system operators from Germany and Austria already collaborate in order to balance out fluctuations internationally.
