Construction of a new substation in Werlte

Information

EQOS Energie constructed a new substation in Werlte in the Emsland region.
On behalf of Avacon Netz GmbH, EQOS Energie performed all electrical installation work in this project. The construction of the new substation improved the power grid supply for the entire region and prevented circuit overloads. The connection of several 110-kV lines from the surrounding area enabled load flow control and grid separation.

The electrical work required for this was extensive: Two busbars, six line bays for the high-voltage line and a coupling were installed. EQOS Energie realised both the primary and secondary technology. This included, among other things, coordination of the high-voltage equipment and control cabinet supplies, assembly of the components and installation of the auxiliary power system. The delivery and installation of the earthing system and the fibre optic infrastructure including cabling, stranding and piping were also part of the work to be performed.
In addition, EQOS Energie was responsible for the protective and transformer tests and accompanied the commissioning together with the customer. Close coordination and transparent communication with all the trades involved and the customer made it possible to realise the project quickly.
